80s TV Adverts

 

Remember the 80s TV advert for Scotch Tape with the skeleton?.. "Re-Record not fade away.." - a take on the Buddy Holly song Not Fade Away.  This one is from 1985.

World famous 1980s Levis commercial where a man strips in a launderette. Featuring the Marvin Gaye song 'I Heard It Through The Grape Vine', this advert made Nick Kamen a minor star - it led to him getting a record contract and releasing a song written by Madonna and Stephen Bray called 'Each Time You Break My Heart'.

 

Classic 80s TV commercial for Toshiba FST TVs.. Ello Tosh Gotta Toshiba.

British Telecom "Ology" commercial starring Maureen Lipman as Beattie.. get it - BT!.. This was one of a series of 80s television adverts featuring the stereotype of a Jewish Mother.  These adverts started off the 'It's good to talk' BT catchphrase.

80s TV Cadbury's Flake advert which starts off with a woman walking through a field of sunflowers and then catching a ride on a horse-drawn carriage (1985).

 

80s Babycham TV advert from 1986.. "Hey, I'll have a Babycham".  Check out the 80s fashions..
